Can you tell us everything about wedding photography?
create your perfect wedding memories
Everything you need to know before choosing your wedding photographer Dorset Hampshire
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SHOOTING STYLE?
My style takes a photojournalistic approach, allowing moments to happen naturally and mostly capturing them without intrusion. I believe my work is more than documentary. I like to think my style has a natural feel but with an artistic, flattering touch. Your wedding is so much more than smiles and tears, I strive to capture details, colours and the overall feeling of the day.
ARE YOU A FULL-TIME PHOTOGRAPHER?
Yes, I am.
WHAT CAMERA DO YOU SHOOT WITH?
Most of the time I shoot with my Canon 5D Mark III which is my main camera body. I always bring a backup camera too. I also have a variety of lenses with different focal lengths.
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHERS WILL THERE BE AT MY WEDDING?
I usually work on my own but I’d like you to consider an additional photographer assistant for weddings with more than 100 guests. The cost of a second photographer, in addition, is £350.
HOW LONG IS A TYPICAL COVERAGE FOR A WEDDING?
I would say the average for my clients is around 10-12 hours.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO WE NEED TO BOOK?
I advise my clients to book their wedding photographer as soon as they confirm their wedding date. I only have limited dates available every year so the sooner the better to avoid disappointment.
You can email me at email@example.com or Contact Me using the contact form on the website.
Yes, I do. I do all of my editing myself, I use Lightroom as well as Photoshop. I will choose the best of the best from your photos and perform subtle editing so all your photos have the most beautiful feel to them.
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS?
Yes, I definitely travel however costs are associated with this. If it is outside 75 miles of my home in Poole, there is a p/hr charge and if more than a 2.5 hrs drive out of Dorset accommodation is needed.
HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?
I usually take around 60 to 80 photographs per hour that you see. So if you book 10 hours collection, you will receive 600 to 800 photographs. All photos will be in colour as well as black & white so you get a lot more on top of that too! You will receive your wedding photographs approximately 8-10 weeks after the wedding, up to 12 weeks during Summer season.
WHAT IF IT RAINS ON MY WEDDING DAY?
They say it’s good luck to have rain on your wedding day… But we know that’s little help to the bride who always dreamed of having an outdoor wedding and has to move it inside at the last minute. On the plus side, though, there’s something so beautiful about a photo in the rain.. So if you’re not afraid to get a little wet, let’s grab some umbrellas and head outside. The images taken on the dark and rainy day can have some stunning tone and colours to them. they look cosy and bring a different atmosphere.
